Upcoming School Build Project with SEED Madagascar

Last week, SEED Madagascar‘s Schools team visited the community of Sarisambo where Teneo is facilitating an upcoming school building project.

On arrival, community members performed a welcome song and the Mayor of the village (“Chef Fokontany” in Malagasy), gave a speech. The school currently has just two functioning school buildings for 726 students which means many students don’t attend full school days and when they do the learning environment is extremely cramped.

The project we’re supporting will refurbish the existing classrooms, build five more furnished classrooms for both primary and lower secondary students, install rainwater harvesting systems and construct 10 new latrines making days at school significantly better for all of the children in the Sarisambo community.
