Teneo Helps to Raise Awareness and Funds for Jhpiego’s Miles for Mothers Remix Virtual Race

Theale UK, and Dulles, VA, January 4, 2021 – Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, exceeded their goal and raised over $41,000 through their Miles for Mothers Remix virtual race at the end of 2020. Teneo was grateful for the opportunity to partner with our long-standing customer, Jhpiego by helping to raise awareness and funds towards such a worthwhile cause.

When Teneo heard about Jhpiego’s Miles for Mothers Remix event, we jumped at the chance to be involved. Teneo has a strong Corporate Social Responsibility program and this event complemented it perfectly, with its focus on helping those in developing countries fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Teneo was proud to be a Gold Sponsor of this 2020 virtual global race that helped to raise funds to provide lifesaving supplies for frontline health care workers, mothers and families around the globe.  These supplies, including medical-grade masks, disposable gloves, surgical gowns, and hand sanitizer, help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 especially in countries that were already in crisis before the pandemic.

An added bonus was the chance for our Teneo colleagues to become involved themselves in the Miles for Mothers virtual event. We have an active exercise club at Teneo and our team hit the roads in their walking and running gear and helped to raise an extra $785 for Miles for Mothers, while collectively covering 350 miles. (Side note: Teneo’s exercise group’s efforts in this event helped them to achieve the collective accomplishment of walking half the circumference of the globe, 20,000 km in the six months of the group’s existence.)
