Sales Manager

Location: UK, Theale

Reporting into the Chief Sales Officer, the purpose of this role is to lead a team of external salespeople.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Chief Sales Officer to devise sales plans and execute against these plans
  • Set sales targets and devise associated commission schemes as part of the sales plan
  • Develop relationships with key customers
  • Lead and manage a team of external salespeople; recruiting, setting, monitoring and reviewing performance objectives, motivating, training and developing
  • Assist in closing major deals and running major accounts
  • Work closely with Marketing to run effective campaigns
  • Monitor, analyse and forecast sales performance against targets on an ongoing basis
  • Submit regular reports showing sales results and activity
  • Ensure up to date and accurate records of customer activity are kept using a CRM system

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to degree level
  • 5 year track record in field sales within IT, 2 in sales management
