Finance Assistant – Apprentice

Location: Theale, UK

Based in Theale, UK, the Finance Assistant – Apprentice will provide administrative support within the finance department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and check customer orders for the UK, US Australia and France and ensure that the correct approval is obtained prior to processing
  • Create and process customer orders using the CRM application within agreed SLAs
  • Prepare Customer invoices in the relevant accounting system for the UK, US, Australia and France
  • Responsible for the completion of customer orders in the CRM system, including the creation of assets
  • Be the first point of contact for the business by answering incoming calls and meeting and greeting visitors, delivering excellent customer service
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post
  • Assist with the booking of business travel for employees
  • Assist with shipping and tracking goods as required
  • Provide support and cover for the finance team during holidays and busy periods
  • Carry out general administrative tasks as required
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required by the Management Accountant and CFO

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to A level or equivalent standard
  • Work experience ideally within an accounting/finance function

  • Computer literate
  • Microsoft Office and preferably Oracle NetSuite
