Teneo, a leading infrastructure optimisation specialist, has achieved a debut 151st place in a survey of the top 250 UK ICT resellers and solution providers conducted by IT Europa magazine. It has also been shortlisted for a Channel Network Award in the ‘Innovative New Application Solution’ category
The annual UK ICT Premier 250 report is published by leading European IT magazine IT Europa. The research was conducted during June and July 2008, with a process that included detailed interviews with the organisations involved. Each organisation is ranked based on their reported turnover.
Teneo recently announced turnover of £8 million as a group of companies, showing substantial growth on the previous year. As a mark of Teneo’s success, it was recently awarded ‘Northern European Reseller of the Year’ by wide-area data services (WDS) technology and market leader, Riverbed Technology. Teneo has also this year achieved the milestone of installing 1000 Riverbed Steelhead® appliances for over 100 customers.
Teneo has stated that it is looking forward to another year of strong growth, seeing demand for infrastructure optimisation solutions continues to rise.
Across the ICT reseller community, the IT Europa report states that revenues for top 250 UK ICT resellers and solution providers grew by 24.6 per cent last year to £43.7 billion, well above the industry average growth rate for Europe of 4.3 per cent.
Teneo has also been shortlisted for a Channel Network Award. The awards are backed by BPL Media, publishers of IT Europa and Channel Business Solutions magazines. Teneo achieved its shortlisting in the ‘Innovative New Application Solution’ category, with a solution for its client NPS Property Consultants. Teneo deployed a Riverbed application optimisation solution, installing Riverbed Steelhead appliances to increase application performance by 50% and delivering a return on investment of £600,000. The solution has allowed NPS to execute a centralisation plan by removing local servers and consolidating to a central data centre structure.
James Hall, marketing director, Teneo, commented:
“We are delighted to have achieved our debut 151st placing in the IT Europa UK ICT 250 for this year. We are growing strongly and have recently moved into larger offices to help our business accommodate our sustained growth. We are confident that we will proceed further up the ICT 250 table when we report our results for this current year. It would also be great to get some new silverware into our trophy cabinet with a win at the Channel Network Awards.”
