Teneo helps companies invest in the latest infrastructure optimisation technology

Teneo, a leading infrastructure optimisation specialist, has launched a leasing service for companies who want to benefit from wide area network (WAN) optimisation solutions without having to fund investment through capital budgets.
With the economic pressures making companies examine their approach to new technology expenditure, Teneo is offering a unique leasing service for customers who understand the cost and efficiency benefits of WAN optimisation solutions utilising Riverbed Steelhead appliances, but prefer to purchase on a monthly lease basis which includes maintenance, upgrades and support.
 
For many network managers working for companies who are facing the challenges of poor application performance or slow file transfer hindering employee collaboration, investing in WAN optimisation can produce cost savings compared to investing in additional bandwidth.  With more and more organisations considering consolidating IT infrastructure through centralising servers or exploring virtualisation, solutions such as WAN optimisation can radically improve network performance to realise the benefits of consolidation or virtualisation projects.
 
Teneo has worked with VFM Services, a leading claims handling, risk management solutions and training provider to the financial services industry.  VFM wanted to centralise its IT infrastructure at its main Peterborough office and improve application delivery between Peterborough and its branch offices in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and Market Deeping in Lincolnshire.
 
Teneo established a trial installing Riverbed Steelhead appliances at both Peterborough and Hitchin, which proved that Riverbed helped to improve application performance and speed up the network without upgrading bandwidth.  VFM Services understood the benefits that the Teneo solution would bring and discussed investment options.  Teneo agreed to lease the Riverbed appliances for all sites to VFM Services in an agreement which includes equipment, maintenance and support.
