Teneo receives prestigious reseller award from netForensics
Published on: 19 January 2010
Teneo, a leading infrastructure optimisation specialist, has been named as ‘Platinum Reseller of the Year’ from security information and event management solutions vendor netForensics.
Teneo has been awarded the prestigious ‘Platinum Reseller of the Year’ award in recognition of its success in selling and implementing netForensics solutions. netForensics is a highly successful vendor in product areas that include Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). SIEM essentially collects volumes of diverse data from across an organisation’s network and applies sophisticated normalisation and aggregation techniques to identify and report on emerging and hard-to-detect security threats. Combined with integrated incident resolution workflow, threats are remediated rapidly to ensure compliance and policy refinement.
The award has underlined the success of Teneo’s recent acquisition of network and security management solutions provider iSimile. Since the acquisition in August, Teneo has ensured that it has strengthened the long-standing portfolio of vendor partnerships established by iSimile, which included netForensics. Within this time, both companies have worked together to leverage the potential of these fast growing vendors.
Teneo has identified SIEM as a growth sector as enterprises demand security management solutions which can link together connected incidents to provide intelligence out of the mass of information collected via their networks. Analyst IDC estimated the global market for SIEM had reached $666 million in 2008 and is set to reach $1.3bn by 2013.
Dale Cline, president and CEO, netForensics commented:
“We are delighted to present Teneo with our Platinum Reseller of the Year award in recognition of their success. This is not only for their sales ability but their understanding our products and their capability in terms of implementation and support. They have built on our partnership with iSimile and have recognised the potential of our solutions and we look forward to continued success together in the future.”
Piers Carey, Chief Executive Office, Teneo, commented:
“This award is a great achievement for Teneo and recognises the hard work that our team has put into integrating iSimile and its partner vendors into our business. As a company together we have the expertise to succeed in fast growing sectors such as SIEM and to further broaden out our portfolio. We will be working hard to make sure that Teneo capitalises on the growth of the SIEM market with support from great vendors such as netForensics.”
