History of the Company
Teneo was established in 2000 by a team of 3, including the current CEO, Piers Carey as a part of the Aspeon group of companies. Its initial focus was on becoming a Network Management Managed Services Provider (MSP) and is now an Infrastructure Optimization company that aims to understand and improve the workings of its customers IT systems. Teneo is a private company, wholly owned by its board of directors.
In 2004 Teneo set up its USA office and trading entity Teneo Inc. A further North of England office was created in 2008.
Teneo now employs over 30 people and has seen revenues grow by 40% over the last 3 years.
By late 2007 it became clear that Teneo had outgrown its Head Offices in Aldermaston and in March 2008 moved to the prestigious new Theale Lakes Business Park. Close to Reading and Junction 12 of the M4, the new office is nested in the middle of a series of nature reserves and lakes. The office provides around twice as much floor space as the previous office and is fitted to a high specification.
In 2007 Teneo was awarded “Riverbed EMEA Reseller Partner of the Year” at Riverbed’s annual conference in Barcelona. This was in recognition of its consistently high sales numbers and high level of customer service. In 2008 we received the award for the second consecutive year. This time the award was renamed Northern European Reseller Partner of the Year. Also in 2008 Castle Rock named Teneo as its “Global Partner of the Year”.
Teneo has further accreditations from a number of vendors including Fluke, PlateSpin, VMWare, Virtual Iron, Allot, Dell and Plixer.
Teneo has been shortlisted for a number of industry awards in 2008 & 2009 in recognition of the highly innovative solutions it has provided to customers including Mott MacDonald and NPS Property Consultants. Teneo has also been named in the IT Europa 250 — listing the top 250 IT companies of 2008.
